How to listen to YouTube in 432 Hz.
Short answer
YouTube has no 432 Hz setting, and its playback speed only changes the tempo, not the tuning. To hear any YouTube video in 432 Hz, the sound has to be retuned while it plays. Quantic Heartz does that on Mac, in every browser and app, and on Android in the YouTube app: it lowers the pitch by 31.77 cents in real time, from A=440 Hz to A=432 Hz, without changing the tempo.
Playback Speed
Why playback speed is not 432 Hz.
YouTube’s playback speed changes how fast a video runs and keeps the voices at their normal pitch. The notes of the music stay where they are, so a song tuned to A=440 Hz still plays at 440 Hz.
Retuning to 432 Hz means moving every note down by 31.77 cents while the tempo stays the same. That is a pitch shift, and YouTube does not offer one.
432 Hz Uploads
What about videos labelled 432 Hz?
Many uploads are called “432 Hz version”. Most of them are copies of a song that someone pitch-shifted and uploaded again, sometimes with lower sound quality, and some are not retuned at all.
They also only cover the songs someone else picked. Retuning while you listen works for every video, including the original upload, live streams, podcasts and music videos.
